Every reactor talks over the part where the announcer says that Larry Bird came back with a fractured right cheek.  So, the doctor didn't clear him.  But Bird told the doctor he had to go to the bathroom and then snuck back into the arena and told them he was cleared to play.  He led his team to a come-from-behind victory with a broken right cheekbone (and a concussion, smh).  He finished with 32, 9, and 7... and the DUB.

He is the only player in history to have the other team cheering for him during a game.  And the only 3 point oli of all time. During the 92 Olympics people were cheering Larry Bird. Not USA Not Jordan Not Magic. Larry Legend!

WHAT?? K.D.?? K.D. in the same sentence is absolutely ridiculous. Name on player who could play 4 seasons with a broken back.

Young people today still don’t understand just how physical and violent these games were back then and granted, it was always only in the eastern conference, but man, how could these guys play while sick or injured? It was incredible! The 80s and 90s were two of the best decades in basketball ever. Now consider that while watching the two legends, Bird and Jordan highlights. They made those decade’s great.

Best passer ever! He would tap the ball, not even catch it. He always knew where his teammates were.
