  As far as im concerned, the most special tv series ever. As a kid it was pure magic.<br>As a grown kid, it still is. Roger Moore was king style.

  As a 9 year old watching this in 1979 I had no idea that there even was an original The Saint. I loved this show. A year or so later I found myself living in Ujung Pandang in Indonesia where Return of The Saint was shown on late night Indonesian television, a rare English=speaking programme. We&apos;d stay up late to watch it.<br><br>Pity that this doc didn&apos;t make any reference to the superb theme music, one of the greats in a cluster of late 70s TV themes.

  Great technical detail (colour tv challenges lighting, set design, etc) some great camera people, Stafford, Frank Watts, Michael Read, Operator Alec Mills <br>Some great writers John Goldsmith (Seed of Destruction - Space 1999 series 2 (76) , Terrence Freely (UFO, Space 1999 series 2) good directors (Ray Austin, Charles Crichton, Jeremy Summers) &nbsp; Very good extensive documentary

  I never saw the Saint tv series. However, I enjoyed Roger Moore as James Bond. He was smart to develop his own style instead of trying to imitate Sean Connery. His quirky personality kept the franchise going when it could have faded out. Just my opinion.

  I had never heard of this show but I had read all of the Saint books and loved the Saint with Roger Moore and someone &nbsp;posted the return on You Tube and I was hooked and disappointed that there would &nbsp;be no new episodes and kept hoping for a one shot where Ian would come back and do it one more time. I did like the pilot where they brought in the Saint&apos;s girlfriend and thought it was pity no one picked it up and I HATED the Val Kilmer movie which was very much NOT the Saint at all but I went and saw in the theater and came away very angry that anyone could do a Saintless Saint movie or even think about doing it.<br>I keep hoping someone will bring the character back to the screen but maybe today is not the time for a handsome adventurer who likes fast cars and beautiful women in distress.
