  When Sir Roger died, I remember reading an anecdote about a man who, as a boy, saw Roger on the airport. His dad gave him a piece of paper and a pen, and he ran over to ask "James Bond" for his autograph. When the boy came back to his dad, the dad could see he was not very happy. "WHo is Roger Moore? I wanted James Bond's autograph!!" The dad went over to Roger and explained the boy's disappointment. Roger beckoned back the boy, and then told him he was on an undercover 007--mission, top-secret, so that is why he signed it as Roger Moore. YEars later, this boy became a lighting technician, and was contracted to do a UNICEF meeting of some sort. This was when Roger was at UNICEF. Everybody lined up to shake his hand. When the lighting man got his very short turn, he referred to that day, but got the impression Roger couldn't remember it. At the end of the meeting, Roger came back to him and said yes, he completed that top-secret mission, and he is glad that the boy/man "kept their secret" for so long. What a man!

  Heartbroken to find out he passed away today. I met him at a book signing and it was his birthday and I wanted to wish him Happy Birthday. His minder objected and tried to move me on but he asked his minder to back off and while still holding my hand tightly and with a big warm smile he thanked me sincerely for remembering and for my good wishes. Lucky to see him on tour last year, brilliantly witty raconteur. Truly a decent man with no pretention or pompous airs. His work with UNICEF was inspiring. <br>R.I.P Sir Roger :-(

  He tells the stories with such a self-effacing charm. &nbsp; &nbsp;Like he&apos;s taken nothing personally and maintained his humor. &nbsp;He seems like such an affable fellow. &nbsp;A twinkle in his eye. &nbsp;I am a huge fan of his Bond. &nbsp; &nbsp;He&apos;s one of the classics.

  Roger Moore was and still is one of my favorite actors that ever lived. For years I always wanted to meet him. RIP Roger, I miss you.
