  How lovely. I found my half brother 10 years ago but lost him to cancer a few years ago. I did meet him often. Very happy for KT.

  I've noticed there's one big difference between the UK version and the USA version of 'Long Lost Family'. In the UK version if the researchers find out a parent or parents of the person featured has died then they say: 'out of respect we've told xxx away from the cameras that their mother/father is deceased.' In the USA version they have no qualms about telling someone straight to their face on camera that their mother or father is dead. Shock reactions seem an acceptable part of the show. There's no consideration for the feelings of those involved.

  I recently met my half sister, who is four months older than me. I learned of her existence when I was around 14, but didn't feel it was right to reach out not knowing if she knew or not. Turns out she had known since she was 10 but her mother refused to tell her the identity of her biological father. The truth came out thanks to 23 and Me. We met each other a year ago, when we were 68 years old and it's been amazing getting to know her! Ironically, we actually live a five minute drive from each other in a city 500 kilometres from the town where we were both born.

  this is one of the most heart breaking storys ive seen on U TUBE but knowing you have 2 sisters is magic.. and her dad had a picture in his wallet of kate they found after he had passed away.thank you for putting this story up..

  I was adopted at birth,after years of research I found a half sister and neice.  I am 65 and finding out who my birth mother was, now I feel real not fake like I always have.
