  I was an avid X-men fan for years until 2016, I got so tired of the constant rebooting, the over saturation of certain characters (looking at you Wolverine), and the stupid crossover events that amounted to nothing in the long run. I did get back into the X-men due to the fresh take of the Kraokoan Age, but once that ended it’s back to the same mess that made me stop back in 2016!! I so miss when Marvel comic were actually good. <br><br>Anyway great video!

  DC currently have a high quality house art style {Dan Mora, Jorge Jimenez, Bruno Redondo, Daniel Sampere...) and writers that are trying to create interesting stories that have stakes. DC Absolute is also fresh, novel but also interesting. Marvel, however, have titles with no name artists, with boring writing.

  DC feels focused and Marvel just seems like they&apos;re aimlessly meandering around wirh no direction.

  Sales are down because they have made purchasing comics almost impossible. &nbsp;Most of us began reading comics as kids from a spinner rack. &nbsp;Without those, nobody is getting introduced to comics.<br><br>Where Ieave, the nearest comic shop is an hour away. &nbsp;No body drives two hours to get a comic. &nbsp;No kid can go that distance to get introduced to comics.<br><br>You csn get them on line. &nbsp;But I want to see the comic , hold it, flip through the pages. &nbsp;No interest in buying something sight unseen.<br><br>Basically they killed the market when they went to selling comics only in comic stores, making them inaccessible to their major introduction market, kids.

  Chuck Dixon, Who was a Batman family writer at the time, said that Marvel was in the habit of kicking artists and writers off of their books instantly. He enjoyed DC because he was guaranteed a full year.

  My favorite thing I have ever heard someone say about DC&apos;s characters is &quot;they&apos;re not lame, They&apos;re just old&quot; lol.<br><br>And I have to say that I agree.

  Just getting back into comics after about a 30 year hiatus, but my general impression from my years collecting from mid 80&apos;s to mid 90&apos;s was that DC had the better writers while Marvel had the better art. My Marvel collection is a smattering of a lot of different titles, but the titles that I collected religiously were DC&apos;s Sandman, Swamp Thing, Hellblazer and Doom Patrol.

  Add on to DC killing it, the Compact Comics are excellent. I went into 2025 being a &quot;marvel&quot; guy, and by the end of the year I was reaching for way more DC titles, and second guessing whether I keep my subs for my marvel titles.
