I really feel not well when I see your electrical installation:<br><br>1) you need to find a way to balance the two serial batteries, otherwise the BMS is your only safeguard against overcharge, as the two batteries will never (!) have identical charge levels due to different internal resistance as well as different cable length.<br>2) Your Busbar is critical in such a high vibration environment (with salt spray...). Never but more than two connectors per screw and make sure the screw diameter is correct for the cable shoe.<br>3) Your parallel cables are a red flag: as they will never have exactly the same resistance one will get the highest load and potentially burn.<br>What is your maximum load? At 6kW you are already looking at 150A at minimum voltage, with inverter etc. Probably 200-250.<br>Absolute minimum for very short cables would be 50mm2 (with proper cable shoes, not cheap Chinese ones!!), I would recommend 95mm2.<br><br>If you are still in the area June 15th ff, I have all the necessary tools and also some spare parts.<br>Also we could check your system under load with an IR cam to see if you have any hotspots under load - not a good thing to have in a wooden boat...<br><br>Pls. See the Channel of Will Process for advise on installation and dangers of such a system...

I admire the energy and self reliance. I could point out a lot of potential issues, some of them very risky, but I think it’s useless. Our friend will learn from experience. I just pray nothing serious happens.
