    Early in his career, Tim Tuefel played for the Minnesota Twins. &nbsp;At the same time, the Toronto Blue Jays had a pitcher named Jim Gott. &nbsp;So occasionally the Devil (Teuful) had to face God (Gott).<br><br>By the way, &nbsp;I am from Swiss Germans named Fire (Feuer).

    Again astonishing ! Did you know that near Amsterdam there is a town called Sassenheim which used to written in the old days as Saxenheim: the home of the Saxen. And one more remarkeble thing: you were talking about Krüger and what this name actually stands for: the person running a tavern and then it hit me: A Krüger--&gt; a Kruger--&gt; a Krug --&gt; in Dutch ---&gt; a Kroeg which still in 2026 is being used to point out an old bar, and old tavern... To go to a kroeg is something probably every Dutch person still will understand in 2026.

    I have many German surnames on both sides of my family. Metzger ( Butcher) was my Mom’s maiden name. Along the same line were Pothast, Flick, Winkler, Dilly, Vosse. Just found your channel. Great work and very interesting! Thank you!
