I did this in 1978. Cut the trees. Sawed the logs and worked alone all winter building the cabin I still live in. Use only wood to heat and I love it.

Nolalu Ontario 6 am, still black outside, no street lights , neighbours half a km away , through trees. Silent . Very peaceful.

Watching this video makes me truly admire the will of the mountain men from the past. In the midst of harsh nature, with nothing but their bare hands and an axe, they could build an entire home. A great lesson in survival and perseverance
