My dad said he wasn't gonna get this game for me, but of course he did. It was Christmas I rember running up stairs to my room right after opening my presents. I spent like an hour trying to figure out how to plug it into the TV (i was like 9) when I did and I saw the n64 logo I started tweaking (i was so excited) but then this song started, it felt like a dream like i was in a trance. I just sat there quietly and watched the intro for like 10 minutes lol. This game made me fall in love with the series, made me fall in love with computers and videogames in whole and brought me and father together.

I am 40 years old and I remember this game being displayed at its launch in the now defunct Blockbuster stores. I can't resist it, whenever I hear this theme, tears come to my eyes... because it reminds me of good times in my life, times when my mother was alive and everything was simpler. For those who say that video games are not a form of artistic expression, this music says otherwise.

I was playing this game at 10 years old while my parents were arguing, fighting, and going through divorce. This game brought me so much comfort in the hardest times of my life and i still continue to play it over and over again as a 22 year old while going through hardship now as an adult. This game will always hold a special place in my heart. People are so quick to say things like it’s just a little game but this is more than a game to me. This is everything to me.

I can feel my brain shifting backwards trying to mirror who I was when this opening popped up back in 1998. It's crazy how your brain can lock parts of yourself away.

The vast majority of those who played this are probably over 30s or 40's and can't help it but feel nostalgic about it, even my kids remember how I loved this game ❤
