  The fixed angle of Dampé's hut reminds me of Resident Evil, and the music choice gives it a creepy but also kind of cozy vibe. There's definitely a feeling like you shouldn't be there, but I guess that comes with the territory of being in someone's home while they're away and reading their diary.

  My favorite place in Ocarina of Time is the hidden cutout behind the boxes in the Lon Lon Ranch tower. There’s a heart piece, but more importantly, it seems so peaceful.

  My favorite strange place in the game was always the bridge at the exit of Kokiri forest. Its technically part of the Lost Woods but it eerily queit. Saria gives you the fairy Ocarina there, but after that it's just empty.

  The view of Kakariko from Death Mountain is one of my favorite things too. I&apos;d always go to the top of Death Mountain after Dodangos Cavern at night so that when you fly down there you get to see the lights.

  The wolf grotto was a Rumble Pak add-on so I always assumed it was designed to be so surreal and temple-like to create a sense of achievement in players who found it. The Rumble Pak cost around $25 extra, which was a significant amount of money by 1998 standards for an optional piece of hardware. I won some money at a science fair and vividly remember spending it on a Rumble Pak so I could discover all the secrets (online guides were virtually non existent back then). It would vibrate in certain locations so you knew where to place a bomb and the wolf grotto was one of those places that felt immensely satisfying to discover!

  My favorite spot is this small forest on Hyrule Field. It&apos;s on the way towards Lake Hylia. I remember when I was a kid, I used to camp out there with Epona. I felt like I was really there, drinking lon lon milk and chillin in this forest.

  The bridge between Kokiri and Hyrule field is a favorite of mine, something about the ambience that plays and watching those firefly things fly around is so magical

  The colourful cave with the Wolfos of course still exists in the 3DS remaster, where the developers decided to give the walls a crystal-like texture instead of rays of light, but still equally colourful.

  I believe that a lot of these strange locations are left overs from other ideas scrapped throughout development and probably different in beta builds. For example, there&apos;s an odd spot in Hyrule Field next to Hyrule Castle, where a river flows, there&apos;s some trees and a small island. In one of the leaked builds for this game we see that originally Link was supposed to sneak into Hyrule Castle through that area, or escape from it. Ocarina of Time is so fascinating because of how many changes it went through in development, I absolutely love studying the beta of this game and theorizing on what was cut in odd locations in the game.
