  I&apos;ve always felt it was a good idea generally to have the ditch. Don&apos;t think it really harms much and the amount of people saved by the ditch vs time saved not having it seems inconsequential.

  Thinking back I was afraid of this wall when I played as a kid. It made me feel brave when I ventured into the wilderness. At this point, it’s nothing short of iconic.

  I remember when I was in elementary school a kid I went to school with played Runescape with a friend of mine. No idea why but he ended up luring me into the wilderness to kill me for the literal junk I had on my character at the time. We both learned a valuable lesson that day. I don&apos;t trust acquaintances, and he learned not to troll someone you&apos;re forced to see 5 days a week.

  Literally every argument for removing the ditch revolves around “But I wanna be able to trick clueless low level players into stealing their gear. The ditch makes that harder and it’s unfair!!!”

  I once walked away from my laptop while playing on my HCIM and my dog grabbed my mouse without me knowing. When I came back my guy was walking back and forth at the ditch. I will die on the hill that the wilderness ditch should be there.

  What would removing the ditch achieve at this point. It would save a few hours for those who enjoy rc in the abyss but the cost would be a huge increase in lures and scams. <br><br>I cross the ditch quite often and have never thought it was annoying or game breaking. Just an additional click that creates a level of safety for newer and inexperienced players

  I approve of the ditch. Never liked that the edge of the wilderness wasn&apos;t clear before it was added. I&apos;m good at pvp, but I don&apos;t like doing it. I&apos;d prefer to avoid it when possible, the ditch made it easier. The only people I know from then that where complaining where the super sweaty pvpers that liked luring new players past a line in the sand that wasn&apos;t clear.
