  I watched statin drugs turn my mother into a deranged cripple. &nbsp;There&apos;s got to be a better way. &nbsp;Thank you, Dr. Gundry for helping us.

  I have recently been diagnosed with mild heart disease and immediately prescribed statins. After a discussion, or rather an attempt to persuade me to take them, from the pharmacist and cardiology nurse , I decided no I don&apos;t want them, Every fibre of my being tells me it&apos;s wrong to jump straight down the drug rabbit hole. I also spoke to my gp who said he would respect my wishes, but informed me I would not be able to lower my cholesterol by diet and exercise! The pharmacist is going to phone me in a week and check on side effects and when I tell her I haven&apos;t taken them I expect another lecture. The stress and worry these people are putting me through will cause me more damage than the minor blockages I have. It&apos;s my body, my life, my decision and if I die through not taking drugs then that&apos;s the way of things, I&apos;m 73 and don&apos;t expect to live forever. My dad died at 47 of cancer. He didn&apos;t get chance to have high cholesterol.

  I know somebody that in their sixties had taken a statin for a short while and it had turned all of his muscles into the enemy of his body and his immune system had destroyed about eighty five percent of his muscles. He now is all crippled up and walks like a very old man that looks like he&apos;s over a hundred years old and he has absolutely no strength. &nbsp;He has to sit on the steps and lift himself up one step at a time on his butt to get up the stairs. The doctor said that he was one of the unfortunate small percentages of people that statins will do this to. &nbsp;I would rather die a few years early, and have a good strong life, than have statins do this to my muscles.

  My doctor relied on the antiquated test that you mentioned. &nbsp;He prescribed me with 20mg statin and within 6 weeks I developed heart palpitations, extreme fatigue and brain fog. &nbsp;I told my doctor and he insisted that I continue taking it without changing the dosage. &nbsp;After doing my own research, Japanese doctors prescribed only 2.5mg to 5 mg Statin to their patients. &nbsp;If I continue taking the statin at 20mg, I would die because of the sides effects before actual heart related cause. &nbsp;I threw the statin medication away and feeling healthy again. &nbsp;I have enough energy to do my daily exercise. &nbsp;Thank God I was not on statin long for it to ruin my life. &nbsp;My doctor said that he prescribed the medium dosage of 20mg and he was about to prescribe 40mg. &nbsp;I am done with my doctor as I think he is going by the ‘old’ book. <br>I came across your channel by chance and thank you so much Dr. Gundry for keeping everyone well informed.

  30 years ago I had major inflammation, my doc put me on statins. I&apos;ve had loose stools for 35 years. After I started statins I developed psoriasis. I&apos;ve been on methotrexate for 10 years but, recently had a inguinal hernia surgery, I&apos;ve quit statins and methotrexate and I&apos;ve had no recurrence of psoriasis and I have no loose stools anymore either. My gut must have been in a bind for decades. It&apos;s only been a few months since my surgery but, I have reason to believe - I&apos;m cured!

  I had an anaphylactic reaction to the lowest dose of statin. There has to be a better way to treat people as they age.

  Wow, it’s amazing how our body can bounce back once we stop feeding it the wrong stuff. I spent over 30 years battling chronic inflammation. Statins were prescribed early on, and soon after, I developed psoriasis and persistent digestive issues—loose stools that just wouldn’t go away. For over a decade, I was stuck on methotrexate. But after a recent hernia surgery, I made a big decision: no more statins, no more methotrexate. Guess what? My skin cleared up. My gut feels like it’s finally breathing again. No more psoriasis. No more digestive troubles. It’s only been a few months, but for the first time in decades… I feel free. Could it be healing? I sure hope so.

  I was diagnosed with Alzheimer&apos;s as a result of being put on Statins &apos;just in case my LDL might go higher&apos; After 4 years on Statins, i could not lift my arms above my head. they and my legs pained constantly. I started with depression, then a form of dementia. I could not recognise people i work with, got lost on my way home, could not even dial a phone number. My eyes went bad an I had to renew my glasses every year. I endless repeated myself. As a result I lost my job as a financial software sales guy. So i had to sell my home. We moved to rural Ireland to be closer to my son. The old doctor ( about to retire ) told me &quot;this feeking stuff will kill you&quot; when i went for a script. Put me on a baby aspirin a day. Within weeks i started improving. My legs and arms started to function again. My head cleared. I now run my own quite successful business. I do my own IT, my own accounting. I am me again. I noticed i dont need glasses anymore. I just had to go for a medical to renew my drivers license at 70, and the doctor said i should be able to read the 3rd line from the top. I could read the bottom line. STATINS IS POISON.
