  When we were filling forms for 10th board, there was a section where we needed to mention our category. and a lot of us didn&apos;t know in which category do we come!<br><br>Our social science teacher very casually said... Those who dont know their category, are in general category. Rest all know their category because they get reminded of it on a daily basis.<br><br>And this one sentence changed how i looked at reservation and caste system.

  The people who say they &quot;have no caste&quot; or &quot;don&apos;t even know what their caste is&quot; suddenly remember all their caste, sub-caste, gotra, everything when it&apos;s time to get married 😅

  Kunal Kamra brings intelligent people, asks them good questions, lets them speak, keeps quite and listens! The viewers can make up their own mind and form their own world view, instead of being misled by propaganda of any sort or conclusions being drawn by others for them. Its so incredibly simple. Why can&apos;t all content be like this???

  General category is misnomer its upper caste shebang. In Caste of Merit, Ajantha Subramanian powerfully exposes how the idea of merit is weaponized by Brahmins and upper castes to maintain dominance in elite institutions like the IITs. She argues that merit is not neutral—it is built on generations of caste privilege, where access to education, language, and opportunity has been hoarded by upper castes. The meritocratic ideal thus becomes a tool to delegitimize affirmative action and invisibilize structural caste oppression.
