I hate how society pressures people to have babies. Not everyone wants to have them. I am 26 and still shudder at the idea of having kids. I understand this couple wanted to but the fact that they were trying to have kids and were STILL getting hammered by folks to have babies is wild.

I am shocked that Noel’s Dystonia was not more quickly diagnosed. <br>It is not as rare as a lot of illnesses.

He’s lucky. There’s a teenage girl that lives next door to me who has never been able to walk due to weak muscles and nobody knows why she’s like that to this day.

Oh my goodness! My daughter (now 35) has RSS. She was born 1 lb 12 ozs and didn't thrive. I was very fortunate to have a Paediatric Consultant who knew about RSS and she was diagnosed at 9 months old. We did not go down the route of tube feeding, or growth hormone treatment, but persevered. She's 5'2" and very slim (thin) and sadly went through premature menopause. She's happily married with 2 adopted children. I am very blessed...

Couldn’t they just give him growth hormone and appetite stimulant without a diagnosis? Like just treat the symptoms if you don’t know.

My granddaughter was labelled as "Russell Silver Syndrome" and she does have all of the features of RSS, however, she doesn't have the genes associated with RSS. She was then diagnosed with Pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism. She was wearing size 00 baby clothes at 3yo, and has a squeaky voice. She has been on growth hormone for over 2 years now, but I'm not convinced its working. She also didn't want to eat. I'm so glad growth hormone worked for Ricky.
