It's rare for sequels that are separated by 30 years to end up being so good. Good job guys, keep up the good work!

2:49 This line really encapsulates the risk Tom Cruise made with this movie to save jobs. He had to fight the studio execs for 2 years to get this movie a theatrical release as opposed to direct-to-streaming platforms. It was a bold move after the pandemic, but the success of the theatrical release literally saved countless jobs in the theater industry and the film industry as a whole.

Most Navy flyers don't have "cool" call signs. They're usually given because of mistakes made. They don't choose their own.

You're such genuine reactors. I would love to give you money to watch your full length reactions. And will root for Michigan this fall. Por favor. 🙏🏼

I saw your comment around the 9 min mark and you’re mistaken. Maverick flys for the Navy, yes he’s flying a plane but he is not in the Air Force. Just because you fly a jet doesn’t mean you’re in the Air Force. He specifically flies for the Navy.

The WWII era P 51 he flies with Jennifer Connelly at the end of the movie is his own plane. Connelly was afraid of flying but he convinced her to let him give her a ride. The early scene at the bar when Maverick sees Connelly for the first time you can hear a David Bowie song playing in the background. A likely callback to Jennifer Connelly acting with Bowie in Labyrinth.

The employee and bartender who assists Penny in her bar is portrayed by the late American actor James Handy, who sadly passed away 3 days ago.

You included Penny's reaction shot when she spotted Mav! I tend to show up in reactors' comment feeds like clockwork just to celebrate this, but it's seriously such an important character and relationship moment that so many people skip over. Little things, you know? Liked and 'scribed.
