  No one remembers now, that the marketing campaign for this movie was the question everywhere: what is the Matrix? On posters, trailers etc.<br>For a half a year in 1999 people got this question without answer. So, for those who went to movie theaters for the first time, they had the same question as Neo within them

  &quot;It references a lot of things.&quot; Some, but it&apos;s more a case of &apos;a lot of things reference The Matrix&apos;. Including the &apos;You wouldn&apos;t steal a car&apos; adverts by the way.

  You can tell Agent Smith is computer program by what he did to Neo at custody, he literally pressed Mute on him and then bugged him with Spyware 😅

  Trinity was in love with Neo back when Neo only knew of her as the man who cracked the IRS database. Seems like it was far more &quot;girl gets guy&quot; than &quot;guy gets girl&quot;.
