This is the myth that most people don't realise, unless a wild animal feels threatened or is desperately hungry,  90% of the time they'll just carry on about there business and mostly ignore humans. The best thing to do in those situations is to just not be threatening.

I used to be an auto insurance agent. And one claim file whose story spread was about a bear. A guy's car was totaled by a bear - while he wasn't near the vehicle. It took a while to figure it out, but the investigator's report stated that the person had left a half-eaten sandwich in their car and gone into their house. The bear smelled it and opened the door. Apparently, they figured out pull-style handles a while ago. While it was chowing down, the door closed, and it couldn't get out. The bear flipped out and went nuts, destroying the car's interior and slamming the car into neutral, whereby it rolled down the hill and hit a tree. They think the impact broke the windshield and the bear went out that way. Inside and out - totally destroyed. Animal damage falls under Comprehensive coverage, so the claim was paid.

Cheetahs almost never attack humans. There are no confirmed, documented cases of a wild cheetah attacking or killing a person. They are naturally shy, timid animals that prefer to flee rather than fight
