  I would also suggest that a must-see is the Soviet War Memorial in Treptower Park. You don't have to be a fan of Stalin to appreciate its magnificence.

  The view from Berlin's Fernsehturm at night on a clear sky night is simply amazing! I would not skip going up the TV tower if you have never been there.

  I visited Berlin in 2023 and highly recommend the Berlin Underworld tours and Templehof Airport’s tour!

  Been to Berlin recently. Skipped Checkpoint Charlie anyway. Better perhaps to go to "Palast der Tränen" at Bahnhof Friedrichstraße, which was, in fact, more used as a point of entry to East Berlin back in the day. Agree about Alexanderplatz, which we only walked by to watch the world clock (has seen clearly better times), and then head on to Fernsehturm and Rotes Rathaus. We were lucky that Rotes Rathaus had Open House Day and we visited the marvellous rooms for free.

  Love Hannah's presentations!  Berlin is such a great and diverse city (in so many ways)!   My first visit in June 1989 was a little different than my last trip with my daughter in 2024 🤣😂🤣  I'm looking forward to visiting again when the Pergamon Museum fully reopens next year!

  Great tips. I've eaten dönner in Mustafa's, it was simply amazing! Another recommendation is the Museum Karlhorst, a great historical building in Berlin. Dankeschön, Hannah!

  You went right past the War Memorial.  As much history as the Brandenburg Gate!  Huge miss!

  I've been going to Berlin for a few years now and stay at Park-Inn. Alexanderplatz is a great starting point. You can easy get to anywhere i Berlin from here. As a tourist attraction, not so much.

  The museum island is a must stop! The Pergamon museum is closed until 2027 but there are others.
