  Went to Alaska with a new A&P and commercial license in 1979 with the real goal of being a pilot.  That happened and 35 years later I retired from a major airline career.  God bless you, your family and your aspirations. Subbed and following.

  Man, you had me worried. At first I thought you were really going to take your kids up in that thing. Glad you made it, no way would I take my kids up in a small plane until I had 100% confidence in the machine. Maybe one day you can take them up but I'm glad it wasn't today.

  Twenty years ago, at 15, I was flying endlessly in Microsoft Flight Simulator around British Columbia and Alaska in a Cessna 206, making virtual deliveries of essentials to hard-to-reach places. I dreamed this would be my life in the future. Today my life looks completely different than I planned, although it is equally beautiful and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's wonderful to return to these places thanks to you. Everything seemed so real then that today it awakens a kind of sentiment and longing. Thank you, and greetings from Poland!

  Taking your first flight of an unknown 62-year old aircraft that has been sitting for a couple years over those mountains is ballsy. You're braver than me. Glad you made it home safe.

  It does not matter how cold the outside air is, if that fan on the front of the airplane stops, the pilot will be sweating until touchdown, RIGHT!!!
