  I was an A&amp;P for 20 years. In the late 90s we had one of these come through our shop. The pilot complaint was that the left engine RPMS were uncontrollable. We checked the prop and governor for obvious leaking and rigging issues. All looked normal. The pilot also told us that the engine had just been overhauled. Hmmmmm . . . Just to satisfy my curiosity I removed the governor from the engine and took a look at the drive gear. I moved the prop a full revolution, but the drive gear did not move at all. &nbsp;I called the shop to advise them of our findings. They said to pull the engine off and ship it back to them for further troubleshooting. It took a day and half to remove the engine. I took pictures of everything as I removed fuel lines, oil lines and myriad of cables and wires. The shop said not to remove the engine baffles as they would install them. I took extra pictures of those. Turns out that the overhaul shop forgot to install the woodruff key on the prop governor drive shaft. They fixed it ( which required a full tear down of the engine) and sent it back to us with all the baffling in a box. It was quite an effort reinstalling all those pieces even with all the pictures. We successfully hung the engine and got the owner on his way.

  I just got a 421C out of New Mexico that had been sitting in a hangar for 20 years. All the fuel system componentry needed overhaul, as well as wastegates and wastegate controllers. New tires, battery, and it flew home with no issues. Pressurization worked, autopilot worked, all the radios worked, amazing.

  That frequency selector switch at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eZXPICDPcw&amp;t=2261">37:41</a> is just about the coolest thing I&apos;ve ever seen. We&apos;ve gone backwards as a species for sure.
