  Hi, welcome! 👋<br><br>I accidentally left out an important part of Adam’s explanation about the history of WMSCOG and how strangely similar it is to Watchtower. I also forgot to include WMSCOG’s failed predictions about the end.<br><br>And this is where it gets REALLY interesting because both groups have a connection to the Adventist/Millerite movement.<br><br>William Miller believed Jesus would return around 1844. It didn’t happen. This became known as the Great Disappointment.<br><br>Now here’s where Watchtower comes in.<br><br>Charles Taze Russell was influenced by Adventist teachers who came from that same movement. Russell spent time with Second Adventists and eventually worked with an Adventist preacher named Nelson Barbour. Barbour was already using the Bible to calculate dates like 1874 and 1914.<br><br>Russell later started the Bible Student movement, which eventually became Jehovah’s Witnesses.<br><br>So the idea of using Bible prophecy to calculate dates didn’t just randomly start with Watchtower. Russell was already learning these ideas from people connected to the Adventist movement.<br><br>And WMSCOG has a VERY similar history.<br><br>Ahn Sahng-hong was once part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Seventh-day Adventists also came from the Millerite movement and the failed 1844 prediction.<br><br>Ahn Sahng-hong later started the movement that WMSCOG eventually came from.<br><br>Then WMSCOG had its OWN failed predictions about the end, especially 1988 and 1999. The 1988 expectation was connected to the idea that 40 years would pass after Israel became a nation again in 1948.<br><br>But 1988 came and went.<br><br>Then 1999 came and went.<br><br>Sound familiar? 😂<br><br>Watchtower had major expectations involving 1914, 1925 and 1975.<br><br>WMSCOG had 1988 and 1999.<br><br>Of course, WMSCOG and Jehovah’s Witnesses are NOT the same religion. They believe very different things. But THAT is what made Adam’s story so interesting to me. These are two completely different groups, but the more you learn about them, the more similarities you start to notice.<br><br>It truly saddens me that I forgot to include this part in the interview. Adam and I talked about it for about 15 to 20 minutes. While editing, I was cutting the conversation into smaller pieces and told myself I would come back to this part later.<br><br>Well… I COMPLETELY forgot. 🤷🏽‍♂️😂<br><br>I apologize for leaving it out, but I hope y’all enjoyed the interview regardless!!!<br><br>I plan on having Adam back for a Part 2, where we can REALLY get into what WMSCOG teaches and compare it with what Watchtower teaches.<br><br>And trust me… there are A LOT more similarities. 😂<br><br>Like.   What&apos;s funny is that Jehovah&apos;s Witnesses would be able to identify just how wacky the religion is. At the same time they&apos;d say &quot;isn&apos;t it great that we have the truth&quot; or something of like sentiment.

  The fact that they call their org the Truth tells you everything. Who does the Bible say is the Truth? It&apos;s Jesus of course, so following logic they have clearly usurped Jesus&apos;s place and expect complete and utter submission. They are poison

  I get how Adam felt about not being there for his dad’s last birthday &amp; never getting closure. My Mom was DF’D (for smoking! Which by the way- she already was smoking when she GIT BAPTIZED! &nbsp;But they changed the rules. I shunned her. She did come back to the “truth “. Errr to the LIES. So I felt it had been the right thing to do for her to get life. She’s gone now but I so wish I could go back &amp; undue the way I treated her. Religious control is SATANIC WICKEDNESS. Ruining a lot of peoples lives. So sorry Adam didn’t have a chance to tell his dad. 😢
