  The burden of proof is on trinitarians, not JW’s, to prove that the almighty is a triune godhead, and that explanation must square with everything that Christ said when he was on the earth, including the multiple occasions that he referred to the Father as being a separate entity that he prayed to. &nbsp;Trinitarians would have you believe he was basically praying to himself in the garden of gethsemane. &nbsp;IF he was God in the flesh, Christ would have no need to pray to anyone.

  Thank you for those thoughts. While I believe there are arguments for the Trinity, and even possible building blocks that seem to support that theology, and while the Bible does refer to Jesus as “God,” ultimately, I feel the case falls short of being convincing (that is of the Trinity).<br><br>Why?<br><br>First and foremost, what is often misunderstood by those who promote the idea that Jesus is God in the Trinity sense (like Sam) is the meaning and usage of the word “God.” In the Bible, the term can be used generically to describe someone who possesses power or authority. In other words, it is not always used exclusively to refer to the Almighty God.<br><br>For example, Satan is described as “the god of this system” at 2 Corinthians 4:4. Is Satan literally God Almighty? Obviously not. Yet the Bible still uses the term “god” to describe him in a particular sense.<br><br>Likewise, human judges are referred to as “gods” at Psalm 82:1, 6. Again, does that mean they were literally God Almighty? No. The term is being used in a broader sense to describe their authority or position.<br><br>So, when we come to Jesus, the question becomes: If Jesus was “given” all authority, as Matthew 28:18 says, or, as Philippians 2:9 puts it, “God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,” wouldn&apos;t that make Jesus a “god” in the sense that the Bible sometimes uses the term?<br><br>Of course.<br><br>But then an important question follows: Who exalted Jesus?<br><br>Did Jesus exalt himself? No.<br><br>Someone else exalted him. And who was that?<br><br>God the Father. Almighty God. Jesus is never referred to as &quot;almighty God&quot; and also never described as God the Son... but rather only as the &quot;son of God&quot; <br><br>That distinction seems significant to me when considering what the Bible actually teaches about the identity and authority of Jesus.<br><br>Is Jesus God?   What Ignatius said and what the bible says are 2 different things. Paul warned about the great apostasy, that had already begun in his day. Acts 20:29,30. Christ didn&apos;t create ALL things. That would mean he created the father. All other things gives a more accurate meaning in English. This is a normal practice in greek. Rev.3:14, mth.<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4AxpLYARzo&amp;t=1589">26:29</a>, micah 5:4, 1cor.3:23, 2cor.13, acts 10:41,42.
