  As an art history major, it grinds my gears when people insinuate that ancient people weren’t smart enough to make basic machinery. We have full designs of cranes going all the way back to Roman times, they had pulley systems which is one of the most basic things used to move big masonry blocks. If I remember correctly Greeks had one of the first well documented crane designs which they were very inspired by the ancient Egyptians at the time. And the Greeks and Egyptians existed at the same time. These cranes were very very archaic in design and man powered with lots of people or cattle, but they did exist.

  Real aliens would more than likely be completely different than anything found on Earth. Look at how diverse life on earth is while sharing over 90 percent DNA similarities. A true alien would have a completely different DNA set
