Bumped into Jonjo in Liverpool on my stag do, he sent over a round of drinks and when I went to pay the tab for the meal £400, he’d paid it before he’d left.

Seems like a good guy. His knowledge of other players' boots is unreal.

Loved jonjo at Newcastle. Always had time for the fans after games. One of the most gifted passers of a football I’ve ever seen

Always wanted Jonjo to do well at Liverpool. Brought a bit of needle when we weren’t great, and had lovely tech. Had a good career in the end

I used to take my kids to Melwood during school holidays to get some autographs & he would always stop in his car & sign for everyone. If he couldn’t stop he’d put the window down to apologise & explain.<br>He once said that he’d been a kid asking for autographs. Top fella!

Went to senior school with Jonjo before i left that school. Will always remember playing in the same school team as him, knowing he was going all the way. Always the best player on the pitch, he was just different from any player at that age. He always wore the blsck adidas World Cup/Copa boots. Great memories, good luck to him
