Spamton makes me think he's a symbolic representation of Kris summoning a demon and making a deal with them.

The Gerson statue attacking Susie could also be symbolic of Susie’s view on authority figures, specifically teachers.

They’re claustrophobic and oppressive, it’s hard to make out anything from them unless you’re really able to pay attention, they’re stiff and dull, and they’re overall very unpleasant.

it’s also relevant to mention that chapter 2 generally seems very oriented around noelle. queen is especially interested in her specifically, the ferris wheel is set up so she and susie can have an intimate moment, the keyboard puzzle spells out december, the moon is literally a baseball, etc. i think it’s likely that whatever conscious part of dess there is remaining in the knight created the fountain with the partial intent to help her sister find her potential. in a way, her creating the dark world was a way of taking noelle to the big city like she always promised she would

I think the reason Toriel's a MacGuffin in chapter three is because Kris feels so distant from her and feels like they have to compete for and win her attention, hence her being the grand prize. The reason Undyne only comes in at the end is because Kris and her don't have a close relationship since she just calls them "Asgores Kid" in chapter 1 and Toriel just calls her by her title of Officer over the phone at the end of chapter 2. Its also kinda dark when you consider that Toriel was probably meant to be the Knights sacrifice instead of Undyne and Kris is seemingly fine with it.

Based on how Dark Worlds reflect the creator and who they know, if Asgore's police badge or wedding ring doesn't become darkners, I will eat grass

I never made the connection between Dess and Clover, that's crazy! Bangin' analysis my man.

I think it's also worth considering that the Forgotten Man's room should be directly influenced by whoever created the Dark World is in as well (see Chapter 3's "Mancountry", which is directly tied to Kris).

one thing that I’ve been thinking about recently is the fact that when Kris made the chapter 3 dark world, they KNEW that Tenna would have control over the world, given that they made the deal about keeping toriel trapped with him before making the dark world. Maybe they simply were aware of the “lord of screens” prophecy, but the idea that they could hinge their whole secret plan on Tenna working with them implies they understood Tenna’s character and desire to not be unplugged. maybe they created the dark world with that in mind? or maybe they’ve met dark world tenna before. idk

7:50 While I do think Jevil is more relevant to Susie, I think Jevil's relation to Kris is a sort of light prelude to the Eram battle, by tackling elements of having "Fun", the "Devilsknife" and that sort of thing. Maybe tying freedom to "just having fun in violence". He even uses specific terms like "Mischief" which reminds of a young Kris, so that's that.

this video made me notice how all the pure black darkners (Scissor Dancers, Shadow Guys, Titans and their spawn, the Knight) also can't talk... i wonder if there's some sort of connection between darkness and being unable to communicate? or if these darkners are all related in some way? idk

17:30 its really interesting you point out we the player being similar to tenna design wise because he too wishes for the games to keep coming and for the knight to show up and to make kris happy. very similar to the thoughts ive seen online about deltarune.
