  Thanks everyone for watching my first video on the Fatal Frame series! This might be one of my favorite videos I&apos;ve ever done, so I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do.<br><br>Going forward, I’m going to be trying out a new type of video in between these longer ones.   Having a person/people go missing prior to your character&apos;s arrival to a location and figuring out what happened to them is PEAK environmental storytelling.

  What I think scares me the most about the fatal frame games is that more often than not the people doing the horrific shit that led up to all of these events? They&apos;re RIGHT in doing do. They were holding evil spirits and dark entities at bay. Which means no matter how uncomfortable the rituals and sacrifuces are they do work and are necessary.

  Can I vent about the time I played this game and took a break after the scene with the falling woman? And my brother threw a bunch of laundry down the stairs while I was walking past? <br>I wasn’t ok with that.

  I&apos;m so down if you do make this a series. I&apos;ve seen a ton of videos on fatal frame but I really enjoy how in depth you always go and your style of narration~

  I&apos;m glad you&apos;re getting into this series; it introduced J-horror as a genre to me. My particular favourite is Maiden of Black Water. (Controversial as that might be lol~)<br><br>What also makes this unique is that Shinto, as a general rule of thumb, prizes purity and cleanliness. The fact that a ritual that necessitated the mental and physical torture of a shrine maiden is actually really shocking from a Japanese perspective. So, the fact that Mafuyu and Miku cleanse these spirits with exorcism via camera is also seen as almost a return to form.<br><br>And this is a theme that keeps being explored throughout the entire series. 4, in particular, is a showcase of trying to do a ritual that is normally safe, but by not having all the requisite parts, it fucks it up royally.
