I’m newly retired and had multiple conversations with my Fidelity representative. All they said was “tell us how much money you want to land in your checking account each month”. It was that easy!! Spending money is a work in progress. I’m golfing at nicer courses and eating nicer meals. I’m also planning to fly 1st class from here on out.

I retired at 44 and am living just fine. In about two weeks I’ll visit my 50th state. My passport gets stamped. I’m not interested in having to live in less than a previous year. If that means my daughters are millionaires when I die, I’m fine with that.

What keeps me from spending more is having to minimize income in order to get affordable healthcare before 65. I would love to spend more, but pulling 30k-40k more, for example, only to then have to pay say 24k more in healthcare...doesn't make sense to me.

I was with you until you equated "underspending" with "underenjoyment". This misleading "Die with Zero" fad apparently has gone viral among social media financial channels. I am looking forward to its demise, because it rests on an entirely fictitious assumption: spending money makes you happy. No, it does not.
Trying to spend your way to happiness is like eating sweets or taking drugs. It can provide temporary pleasure, but once that transient high fades, you're more likely to feel unpleasant sensations which last a lot longer than the magic carpet ride did.
If you spent 30 or 40 years patiently building a nest egg, do not get lured into a spending trap by buying into the notion that failure to exhaust your life's savings is somehow a failure.
