  Sure, the roached engine and battery pack are a HUGE bummer, but......the engine itself isn&apos;t that special, IIRC, so a rebuild (especially stock) shouldn&apos;t be all that expensive. It didn&apos;t suffer rapid unscheduled disassembly, so it&apos;s saveable. The battery is a headache, but you know darn well that&apos;s manageable. You could easily source all your missing front end parts, even color matched, secondhand. It&apos;s an unbelievably rare specimen, I think it would be cool to save it.

  I would love to fix something like this, but then I don’t have a huge backlog of project trucks and you have to calculate if the viewers would bring in enough revenue to make it worthwhile. It was still pretty cool to get a tour of this rare truck.

  PLEASE READ!! Since the truck has been sitting so long and had good oil pressure at first. On that engine, there is a screen below the oil pressure sensor. I have seen this screen many times get blocked with slug. giving you a low oil pressure warning. Seeing your truck sat so long outside and who knows how well it was maintained. I would guess it&apos;s slug and it blocked that screen. Even after a flush and oil change, it&apos;s not uncommon to have to pull and clean that screen a few times in the near future. So don&apos;t be to alarmed if you get another low oil pressure light after putting a few miles on it, especially if you use a oil with lots of detergents.

  You made the right choice. &nbsp;You spent a grand and a few hundred for parts to keep the Tahoe going (many of which will are quickly becoming unobtainium). &nbsp;If you are mean to have a Hybrid Sierra, one will pop up other wise you have a ton of fun and interesting work ahead of you any ways.

  There is YouTube videos on how to go through the valley cover to get the lifters Unstuck, put some new oil in it. See what happens after you get them unstuck.
