I’m 72. My late father’s favourite expression was ‘enough is as good as a feast’…..I finally learned what this meant…

We chose less as far as materialism is concerned (moving from the large house we raised our family in to a very small house 1/3 the size, sharing one car, wearing basic clothing, no excess stuff or fluff), but we still like making and investing money and watching it grow because we love sharing it with our children and grandchild all of whom live minimally as we do. There is nothing better than a simple life without more than we need but having the comfort of a good financial pillow in case of a crisis.

Living on a 35ft sailboat, I have enough. Tools and equipment. It’s just interesting knowing this when I have conversations with landcrabs.

Oh...the irony. The video "broke" at 7:48 with an ad from Dillard's for me to buy "wardrobe essentials". In this case studded black "party" pants and a sweater with feather at the end of the sleeves. OH THE IRONY.
