My son cut his foot in the barangay in Mindinao province. It got infected so we took him to a pediatrician. He prescribed a very good antibiotic the cured him. The doctors visit was 300 pesos.

I don't believe the minimum wage is 19,000php. I have friends who work every day and don't even get 10,000php...

My first visit to the Philippines, I needed a doctor, and we went to the hospital. ₱400 for the consult, ₱1000 for the meds, and my 2-week visit was saved. That was about $28 with the 48:1 exchange rate then. The exchange rate is now over 61:1.<br>I live here now.- 7 years. Life and prices are good.

This is not true, my stepson just started working in a factory 72 hours a week and makes 3,000 pesos a week, my other son's girlfriend just started another job assembling pill capsules, 72 hours and 4,800 pesos a week

A studio condo in Chicago gold coast lakefront is 400k to 550 k so a studio to rent here is 850 to 1800 a mo depending on location .

as an immigration attorney for over 30 years, in the United States, I think the easiest fastest way for the Philippines to compete with Viet as a premier tourist venue would be to make that 30 day no nonsense tourist visa into a 90 day no nonsense tourist visa.
