Favorite beekeeper channel on YouTube! This is great stuff. Thank you for really explaining things in such detail and not just making 15 second reels that everyone seems to be so crazy about.

Often in the northeast we get a early fall late summer bloom of incredible amounts of golden rod and late herbs and the honey from this is incredibly good ❤ if you want to try some keep some spring full frames and swap them out come fall 😊

Hi Laryssa, I was talking to a new member at my local beekeeping club about the youtube videos that we watch. The new beekeeper said that she watches Beekeeping Made Simple from the person in Pennsylvania. And I said that I have watched the Beekeeping Made Simple videos from the person in Hawaii. But we both forgot your name and were not sure if we were talking about the same youtube videos. So, I checked back to your channel and learned that you are now back in Pennsylvania. You have us all confused!! Since we are also from Pennsylvania, hopefully we will meet you at a beekeeping event sometime!!!

I’m in Hawaii on the Big Island! I am just getting into beekeeping and see you used to live here. I’m so happy since I’m sure you have so much knowledge about beekeeping here. I will check out your website too. Thank you for sharing and for your informative videos too!

What a timely video, I'm currently extracting honey from my hives because they were full and I didn't want to buy more supers. The question I wished you would have answered is how to balance putting enough supers back to allow room for all the bees but not too much room that they don't get the nectar cured enough to possibly take a bit more before shutting down for the season. Or what do you do with partially full supers when you take them off to over winter with only double deeps? Thanks for all the information, I really appreciate your videos.

I have been binge watching your videos and subscribed today. I have tons of questions and find your videos helpful. One question for you, how much honey is left behind for the bees? I appreciate the time you put into this as it is so informative.
