  I went on one date with a "nice" guy in college. He talked about his daughter and that her mother (his ex) moved away with her. I got a gut feeling and something wasn't adding up in his story. I looked up his name in his county's records. This mofo had almost a dozen domestic violence charges against him from his ex as well as an active restraining order. Ditched him as fast as I possibly could. That was 11 years ago, and by now his daughter is a teenager. I hope her and her mom are doing okay

  Another trend with these “nice guys” that I’ve noticed is that they force their “niceness” upon their object of affection without caring for mutuality, and then expect it to be appreciated. Treating someone with kindness is always a good thing, but sending someone good morning texts every single day without first establishing a mutual relationship where that feels natural, following someone home, and generally just inserting yourself into their lives isn’t considerate or pleasant. Even though some of these things are nice gestures in the right context, they border on harassment when the other person isn’t consenting or interested. It only shows that you don’t actually care about their comfort or well-being, you just want to go through the motions of doing “nice things” as a transaction so you can then act like they owe you something

  If a guy won't take "no" for an answer on the small things, he won't take "no" for an answer on the big things. Trust your instincts.

Nice guys aren&apos;t interested in an actual life partner, and when real women have actual thoughts &amp; opinions of their own these dudes have a meltdown

  &quot;Nice guys&quot; have an honesty problem, because they view women as NPCs instead of full humans so every interaction is about playing the game to get what they want, not honestly bonding.

  Love that guy on reddit saying he’s too intellectual yet he doesn’t know the difference between elevate and alleviate. If someone said they want to elevate my suffering, I’m not only going to not reply, I’m running far away.

  The last one gave me chills. And here&apos;s a personal case study on giving nice guys a chance. So there was this guy in my college who people didn&apos;t like, esp girls. He&apos;s this weird combination of nice guy trying to be cool plus tries desperately to flirt with girls and fails. We became friends and then he developed feelings. I said no since I had a boyfriend. What followed was a series of stalking, threatening me, and all that. I had to &nbsp;complain about him &nbsp;to get him to stop. Later, after college he reaches out from a new number. and tells me, and I quote &quot;Girls like you, make criminals&quot;
