  They call it groove instead of bass because unlike rock band where you can go long sections of a song without any parts to play, it maps out other instruments in the track so you’re more engaged in actual gameplay. It’s more reminiscent of guitar hero where the mapping of the tracks are more for fun as opposed to the realism and precision of rock band.

  Sadly the licenses expiring is the reality of rythm games, its always been this way. They reason why I am not too fussed about it is because there are multiple fan made clones of guitar hero/rockband/ stage tour that support these instruments and will ensure that you can play all these songs years down the line when stage tour is delisted. The hardware works with the old games and the fan made games, which is the most important part. Thats where the real value is for me

  I still have my DJ hero setup, metal stand and all. Sold my PS3 years ago. Gotta get another so I can play again.

  Well, I have adult children living with me who are excited to play this. We played Rock Band/Guitar Hero back in the day. And this will probably travel with us when we visit the oldest daughter and her family. Honestly, I don't know if my kids or me for that matter would have been exposed to so many different songs had it not been for those previous games.

  I am excited for this, all in. I personally knew and understand everything you have laid out in this video. I actually enjoyed this video though. Good educational piece about the TandCs that not many people are clued up on, good job man!

  I am happy that a new guitar hero is releasing on december. I have Guitar hero 3 and Guitar hero Aerosmith on PC and play it with a gamepad controller and I'm glad it looks to be supported for the game. I never was good with the plastic guitars for the games and I still play it on my Xbox 360 with a controller. Thanks for the video, this is my first time watching your videos.

  I have a Rock Band guitar autographed by a band called Affiance (they now go by Night Rider and are sick AF). My band got to open for them on two different tours, and we were already fans because of their hilarious and awesome music video for "Call To The Warrior" where they play thier own song on RB, so when we fist got signed up to play with them, I had to get a guitar controller signed. It hangs up with the rest of my memorabilia.
