What's breakfast? Good to see Tim going into that straight-away.

I used to have breakfast every day - never commercial cereals. A black coffee without sugar and often oats with full fat milk. And a little sugar. Then I gave it up. Completely.

Now, I have lunch - usually a homemade soup and some of my own bread - between a few minutes before midday, like half past eleven, or a few minutes after.

One thing is very obvious to me - not only do I completely forget about breakfast, I also simply do not want a biscuit, or a croissant, or anything else, at mid-morning drink time.

Standard UK breakfast cereals are almost all unpleasant. Cornflakes. Puffed rice. Puffed wheat. Oat crunch. Whether the highly sugar coated varieties or not. I used to prefer Weetabix or Shredded Wheat or porage. The exception was German Cocoa Pops - which had an intense dark chocolate flavour.

Last test, HbA1C = 39. Could be lower, but not too bad.

The fermented dairy seeds nuts and fruit is my breakfast. Eat breakfast before going to the gym after reading Dr Stacy Sims books. No late morning sugar crashes anymore. Wished I had known about this years before but better late than never.

A random place to send this suggestion (I didn't know another), however a Zoe session on the effect of high altitude on the body would be great. On the back of recent personal experience (a Peru holiday) I researched this myself, and the interactions with the gut microbiome and how this is affected and transforms over time to produce SCFAs via alternate routes is fascinating. There appear to be some good studies on which to draw.
