  As an Italian that knows Americans (I just moved back to Italy after living three years in Florida), let me say that among thousand, this is one of the most accurate Do’s and Don’ts videos: besides those practical tricks, you were able to pass the message that the best way to visit Italy is to simply leave at home the hyper-organised American style and just let the more relaxed Italian style vibes flow; and this is valid for any European country, by the way. Great job!

  I am Italian and I believe this video should be MANDATORY by law to watch (at least 2 times) before being able to set foot in Italy, we would have fewer problems with tourists and tourists would enjoy the REAL Italy. <br>Congratulations indeed, I see many similar videos but often even those who make them to help other foreigners get many things wrong, this is simply perfect, I wish you all the success you deserve.

  I&apos;m italian and i agree with everything u said about us.. But i have to complain that americans never consider the eastern part of Italy.. Marche and Abruzzo in particular.. which can offer beautiful surprises..no jams.. no scams .. beautiful nature.. history ..good food .. try to come u&apos;ll never be disappointed ..

  I am Italian and I buy bottles of water every day!🤣🤣🤣 Fountains are not available everywhere. Supermarkets in Italy are full of water bottles and locals DO BUY water in bottles. Tap water is also generally good, but we simply like how mineral water tastes or we like it with gas in it.

  Great video! Would like to mention just two things. <br>1, Please don&apos;t use random ATM, look for ATMs that belong to real banks.<br>2. The best way to get tickets and skip the line is through the official website, because agencies sometimes sell overbooked tickets.<br>Enjoy Italy with an open mind.

  I would recommend one more thing. Well, maybe two. I planned a month in Italy, mid April to mid May. Great weather with occasional showers and a few hot days. I downloaded a Trenitalia app on my phone and booked all my train travel with it. I chose business class so I could change reservations if needed. The second thing I did was to buy city transportation passes. I got five day pass for Florence and explored a lot using the city trams. I did the same in Venice using their boat systems. I bought rolls, cheese and fruit in markets for lunch and then found out of the way restaurants for dinner. I had margarita pizza for the first time in Siena with a view of the Duomo, malfetta in Siena, Gnudi in Milan, and squid in Venice. A complimentary limoncello came with my lunch in Florence and every restaurant wanted to bring me a free serving of their family recipe of bread &amp; tomato soup. Compliments and thanks go a long way as do smiles.<br><br>I would add one more thing. I stayed in monasteries for all of my trip. They were clean, centrally located, priced well and often in lovely converted buildings donated to the church. Several offered a modest free breakfast and had small gardens for relaxing in the evenings. Since I was out all day all I really needed was a bed at night so when I go back to Italy, I will stay in monasteries again.<br><br>I apparently did it right, as tourists would use broken Italian to ask me if I spoke English and ask for directions. While it has been 10 years I would recommend dressing up with a dress or nice skirt and top. A t-shirt and shorts is too tourist. Bring a folding shopping bag if you plan to purchase anything. I kept my cash in a money belt and used a travel purse with locks, RFID and a cable in the strap to ward against cutting. Put it over you head cross body rather than just on the shoulder. Do not loiter but move with a purpose, especially in train stations.

  The ATM you showed at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ7d-RU4U3I&amp;t=370">6:10</a> is from Euronet and that is a tourist trap. This might be hard to recognise. Use one that is at a bank. ANY bank. Potential fees are way lower.

  Perfect video. I am Italian who lives in Rome and what you explaine is real. Anyway, as for bottle of water, if you don&apos;t find a &quot;nasone&quot; get it at supermarket (big crocery store). The prices are very low. Enjoy my crazy country! ❤

  The 7am sightseeing tip goes for almost all of Europe. &nbsp;There is nothing like having almost an entire city at slumber for you to explore.

  I am Italian, just a couple of points... <br>Point#1: We do buy bottled water in Italy (maybe mostly in Northern Italy)... We use the &quot;fontanelle&quot; (not nazoni, this is probably a name used just in parts of Italy) but we use those too. <br>Point #9: there is a law that prohibits this behavior, everyone needs to have and give the possibility to pay with cards. If they do not have it they are in violation of the law. <br>Regarding point 33: especially expect constructions during the year of the Jubilee in Rome. <br>For the rest you are totally on point! Love it! Thanks!
