Miles Morales really established himself as the current generation’s version of relatable developing teenage characters along with my own Generation’s Terry McGinnis and Virgil Hawkins, and they each do so without being a cookie cutter of each other or any individual archetype.

I think my favorite little detail of the movie is how the glass still sticks to his hands and breaks when Miles does his leap of faith. It shows that he is absolutely not relaxed at that moment. He's still terrified and doesn't think he's ready, but he takes the leap of faith anyway.

They did so well with Miles. A lot of kids will grow up thinking that Spider-Man is Miles instead of Peter Parker and I’m 100% ok with that.

I cried when Stan Lee passed away and again when I saw his scene in the theaters. I grew up reading Spider-Man and X-men comics in the 90s. Much of the theme of Spider-man was that anyone can be a hero. Stan’s stories in comics were always more memorable to me than any books I read in school. His passing felt like I lost a grandfather. RIP “Smiling” Stan Lee

I just learned that Miles’s leap of faith scene was completely different at an early stage, the first pitch was to Miles fail and crash. That would’ve completely break the feeling of growth and self-esteem and delete one of the best animation shot

I know this video isn't about the cinematography of this film, but a fun fact that I love in this is that the animators punctuated Miles's doubt/confidence in his abilities in that while he doubted himself, he was animated on the 2s (only changed 12 frames per second rather than the standard 24, making him a little more choppy), but in the moments when he found his stride - when swinging with Peter with the computer and then for the final act - he was animated in every frame.

Such an inspiration for moving forward… both you, Georgia, as well as Miles. You help a lot of us navigate this messy life. And the sheer amount citations from various different movies in this video was legit. That scene from Equilibrium with Sean Bean is one of my very favorite movie moments

First of all, you are rocking that Spider-hoodie. Secondly, that line Spider-Ham says, "The hardest thing about this job is... you can't always save everybody." Really chokes me up, even to this day. In every single superhero story, someone important to them that they couldn't save (like Uncle Ben, or Gwen Stacy in the spider-Man comics,) is a traumatizing memory that stays with them the most, their driving force to do their very best and try not to let anyone else die. But it's an impossible task, the cruel reality, and a rather mature theme that I'm glad they touched on.

Another great video! And damn... This video made me feel ashamed (wait, please read it all as I'm not trying to make you feel bad) that I forgot the movie's biggest lesson when I had seen it 4 times in theatres.<br><br>"You won't know when you're ready, it's just a leap of faith." For so long, most of my life, I have let perfectionism and anxiety rule me, and the subsequent depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation it gave me only made me feel worse. I will never be "ready", it's just a leap of faith.<br><br>Thank you for the reminder, Georgia. I hope you're well off screen and that you end each day with more lemonade than lemons that life has thrown at you.

This movie hit me SO hard in the theaters. And yeah the Stan Lee scene even here without the setup made me get a bit emotional, didn’t full on cry…this time.
