Extended aftermath (If needed): OP’s mother currently never apologized to Op after what happened in court but apparently she was cut off entirely from her extended relatives, even her own family want nothing to do with her, she lost a lot friends as a result. Eventually Ops’s father files for divorce and sold the house and moved to an apartment, Lucas followed as well, he doesn’t want anything to do with the her hence he’s afraid of her and she’s becoming psychotic and unstable to be around. She blames Op for ruining the family even further, her distance relatives have enough, and decided to put her into a mental institution where she’s remained as her permanent residence. To this day, OP’s mother has zero contact with her husband, lucas and everyone else ever since.
