I tend to shy away from people who say everyone should have such-and-such... Our tastes differ.  Our budgets differ.  We're not all the same.  That said, I agree with most of your choices.

Dave Brubeck Time Out, the one to own is the 1st Japan pressing, catalog number 32DP 593. I have heard all versions on CD, even "audiophile" masterings,  and this is the best sounding.

Gotta love the AI pronunciation of “scarce”<br> (rhymes with “parse”).

The irony about Aja(pronounced like the country…or the 80’s band) is that Walter and Donald went to the MCA vaults to retrieve their masters for a complete remaster - only to discover the tapes were missing, but not the tape boxes.

The glitches are interesting but what really counts is the quality of the sound, DR, compression etc.

The 1983 Japan 1st pressing of Kind of Blue recently sold on ebay for over $200.00.

I have a Canadian copy of Brothers In Arms bought in 1994, made by CINRAM and mastered by Bob Ludwig, it always sounded very good to me, I think it&apos;s not compressed because you have to turn volume up. Also acquired the European 2005 SACD for the 5.1 sound and it also sounds fine in 5.1, the truth is, right now I don&apos;t listen too much to the stereo tracks, but I&apos;m gonna make the comparison. Have you analized the copies of Fleetwood Mac&apos;s Mirage? I have an original copy from the 90&apos;s but it sounds too low in volume, bought the 2016 remaster and it sounds louder, but I don&apos;t know if louder is better, Thanks,

The first pressing of Turnstiles by Billy Joel was a shocker.

I prefer the 2002 Vapor Trails. Its aggression is what makes it great.

As a measure of whether a CD sounds good or bad, if the original is old music, it is best to compare it with an LP record.

The 5.1 mix on the Brothers in Arms sacd is superb, the 2.0 stereo mix is not.
