Hey Everyone —
I’ve seen many comments with concerns about Charles, and I just want to address it honestly. I spent quite a bit of time with him off-camera, and I didn’t get any sense that he was being dishonest. He’s in a tough spot, and I genuinely believe he’s grateful and doing his best.

That said, I hear your concerns and want to be transparent. I’ve decided to close the GoFundMe now that we’ve hit $18,000—which is more than enough to get Charles into a safe, reliable vehicle. I’ll be personally responsible for every dollar raised and will make sure it’s used properly and responsibly.

There were also many questions about whether he has a valid driver’s license—those are fair concerns. He said he did, but I will be making sure everything is in order before any further steps are taken.

If you gave, thank you. If you prayed, thank you. If you just watched and supported from afar, thank you. I’ll keep you all in the loop every step of the way. This community is truly amazing and I don't take it for granted EVER!

I’m truly just trying to meet people where they’re at—and I appreciate everyone looking out for me along the way.

Much Love,
Sean

My husband started a food, clothing and counseling ministry. Some people asked how we would "screen" people for need. John decided "we deal with the need, God will deal with the greed."

If we only help people who provide us a hallmark card moment, we are missing the point. Charles is a human being worthy of kindness. So are we all.

I want to tell you a story, it's my story. I deal with health issues and mental health issues and have attempted suicide. It's your channel and SB Mowing who gave me an incentive to help my neighbours one of whom is elderly. I take care of her yard and in the summer I weed her garden, in the winter I shovel her walkways/driveway. I take the few tools I have and cut down overhanging branches (I'm about 4'10) but I get it done. It helps most of the time to be out giving to others, not always, but it helps. I don't have the equipment you have, I do things usually with hand tools and clippers. It helps when I see the work you do, the effort to give, it helps. I fight everyday just to stay in this world and it helps to give to others. I just wanted to thank you for your channel and the inspiration and at times strength to keep going. Keep doing what you do, you never know when someone needs that little bit of help and inspiration. Thank you for what you do.

Example: I live in a 55 and over community. I have a failed sod yard. Other residents walk by and just shake their heads. Their lawns are beautiful. Does anyone stop to offer suggestions on a fix…no, do they offer to help when I out there with a spade trying to take up the failed sod? No. Why you ask? It’s not their responsibility. I’m not even sure Sean could help. Point is….my yard/lawn is MY responsibility, not anyone else’s. I am 71 and still ok full time as a nursing supervisor. I try to fix things in my spare time. Give people a break, you don’t know their circumstances.

People questioning Charles might not understand the concept of a gift. Once given the gift is the property of the recipient to do whatever he/she wishes. Even if Charles sells the truck to buy food or 100 hats, it is Charles' decision to make. If we start vetting who is or is not worthy and only giving conditional gifts, then we become judges vs. gift givers. I have been fortunate enough to have the resources to give life changing gifts to people I barely know and also to extended families. Sometimes the results are disappointing. Sometimes the rewards exceed all hopes. Either way I do not regret the giving.

Is anyone else concerned that watching Sean pick up trash and cut grass is more entertaining than watching pretty much any movie that has come out in the past 10 years? I don't know, maybe I'm just getting older, but this is like food for the soul compared to the stuff that has been coming out lately. Love it, keep up the great work.

I get so mad at viewers that dare to be critical of anything that you do. I’m an 80 year old viewer that is constantly amazed at the love, time, and expense that you devote to this channel. Viewers just say thank you,and bless you. As a Mom of all wonderful boys myself, I am proud of all you do.

To all who are judging Charles for : Walking his dog, having kids who don't help, smoking and every other thing. I don't know what his full story is. But I do know: If you don't live with chronic illness/pain you don't know the grind it makes and how you take what little energy you have to do what is essential (like walking your dog). And you haven't walked a mile in his shoes. And finally, you don't help people because they deserve it. You help people because they need help as Sean did here. If we all took that attitude, the world would be a much better place.

I would like to remind y’all of Sean’s mission. He has making change one lawn at a time. The change may not be from the owner of the lawn , it could be a passerby. Let’s look for the good. Thank you Sean for your ministry , kindness and time.

Thank you for loving on this man. For all those thinking it's their right to judge Charles, i hope you never find yourself in the place to understand what he's going through. I don't look disabled to my neighbors the days I'm able to go outside and check the mail or run a small errand, but what they dont see is the days in bed I'll spend after for expending that energy. And if he's a heart patient? With no real support system? Y'all dont know how much he appreciates being blessed by Sean and us.
