The Wall is a concept album telling a story. To get the full power of the individual songs it's best to listen to the entire album. Don' t try and over-analyze each song on its own but has to be taken as a small part of the whole album, each song will then make more sense in that context and be more powerful. Give the album a listen and you won't be sorry...it was also turned into a movie , not a bad watch either.

Listen to the full album before you watch the movie. It's one that if you walk in totally blind you will miss A LOT of context.

When I was i was in high school my Art teacher showed us The Wall in class, unbeknownst to the principal, and was such an amazing experience. I think it started an awakening in me as to the true nature of society and I'm so thankful to her.

Don’t watch the movie until you’ve listened to the double album in its entirety—maybe even listening to it a few times.

Instead of just one song, sit in a darkened room and listen to the whole album. WAY more impact.
