  I sometimes consider liquidating a big chunk of my collection to buy a mint base set booster box. Sure it would be an investment, and likely would not perform as well as other plays might, but I just really really want one.  Personally I weigh potential value and nostalgia fairly equally in how I approach the hobby, it's not all about the gains for me but they sure are nice from time to time 😅

  This is sound advice for those who are starting to collecting Pokemon cards again or for long-term collectors. I honestly and respectfully would use that amount to continue building on my Sowsow (artist) and Eevee binders. I have made a fairly good dent on my Sowsow (artist) binder as they also illustrate One Piece cards as well. I am also hoping to complete Journey Together as one of my goals too.

  I’d buy my 1-of-8 in the world grail chase card. Last auction sale was $15k so anything else left over would go into buying non Pokemon Center ETBs.

  $25k allocation: 14.3 $1.75k cards, on average; some cards probably up to $3.5k, and some cards probably down to $875. All cards either in PSA 10 White or CGC 10 Black.

  I wouldn’t recommend investing in pokemon until after 30th hype settles down. it’s more likely demand is higher heading into the anniversary than post anniversary. the opportunity is not worth the risk you take on for such a short term bet.

  Curious your thoughts. I know that it wouldn't be financial advice LOL. I have recently purchased a raw near mint unlimited shining Charizard. PSA 10's have recently made it into the 20k range. Low listings sitting around 27-28k. If the grading process went well I would ideally like to hold onto this card for 1-3 years minimum. Again just curious your thoughts Thank you!

  The fraud risk with sealed is so rough. Maybe mention that you have to have a honest and trusted vendor. Hate to have some bank 15k on a box of GI Joe cards!!!

  90% of Modern stuff kinda makes me want to barf. A lot of them look like fake cards to me but I think your modern advice is great. I'm currently setting up 12 acres for open storage and other rentals so i will buy investing pretty much in line with what you explain in the video
