  Four years ago, I set out to buy a manual 911, but rapidly skyrocketing prices forced me into endless compromises. Instead, I pivoted. Today, I own two mint-condition, manual, naturally aspirated V12 coupes—a DB7 and a DB9—both under 30,000 miles, for less than $100,000 combined.<br><br>While V12 maintenance isn&apos;t cheap, these cars are remarkably reliable when properly cared for, despite common misconceptions. They may lack the track-focused athleticism of a 911, but I don&apos;t track my cars anyway, and to me, the Astons are far more beautiful. Dollar for dollar, they offer incredible value, and I haven&apos;t looked back since.

  The marker needs to get back to where it was a few years ago. If you don’t have people coming into older cars at a more approachable price, you never get the customer flywheel

  Scarcity will keep demand (and prices) high. &nbsp;I just found a &apos;24 718SpyderRS with only 214 miles and a spec almost exactly what I would have put together. &nbsp;I consider myself lucky because they only shipped 2116 to the US. &nbsp;I can tell you from all the shoutouts I get while driving it that this car will always be desired by collectors and enthusiasts.

  I agree - life&apos;s short...there are enough preserved original examples out there - don&apos;t be afraid to make it your &quot;own&quot;. I think people have to buy at a price point within their financial comfort zone - once the cars are big money from the owner&apos;s perspective, arguably it erodes some of the enjoyment and increases the anxiety.

  I wholeheartedly agree with you on the price has gotten out of hand … the base 911 Carrera is double the price of the base c8. &nbsp;Now granted that’s an apple and oranges comparison , but it definitely makes you stop and think, am I truly getting a double the price experience … with a couple boxes checked on a carrera s your well into zr1 prices …… these &nbsp;used to be attainable cars now they are social media flex items. The price of gt3’s have tripled since the 997 generation. I hate to say it but the 911 has become the Rolex of the automotive industry lol. If and when the bubble pops your going to see who was the enthusiast and who was just trying to make a dollar &nbsp; &nbsp;Great video guys

  I think people buy Porsches because it the thing to do and be seen in, not because they love cars and love to drive it.

  If I was commissioning a 964-based restomod, I&apos;d probably go for Fuchs-style rims, or RUF 18&quot; alloy rims if I wanted a more modern look. Btw, which Porsche colour is that 964?

  I have both a 991 and a 997, I would say that the 997 is the perfect size actually.

  Lots people hate on the boxster but I had 997gt3rs and just got a spyder rs and if u can get over its not manual it’s a fuxking joy to drive especially on the backroads there’s nothing like it
