Vader never kills anyone after his duel with Luke in 'Empire'. It seems he is conflicted after revealing to Luke that he is his fathe.

the snowtroopers on the echo base where the falcon took off got shot but i do not think that any of them died because the falcons blaster gun only hit them in the chest plate.

Apparently Lucas blamed Gary Kurtz for not exercising more control in England over the live action shooting schedule and budget. The initial budget was about US$ 20,000,000 and ended up about US$ 30,000,000. That's why Kurtz was replaced and worked on 'The Dark Crystal'. The Marvel Yoda design was the same as the original concept for the film (see 'The Empire Strikes Back Sketchbook'). The time gap between the three films (according to the novelisations) is 3 years and then 3 months. It never occurred to me that Luke would attempt suicide (that was just TOO dark), so I assumed that when he looked down and around from the gantry, the idea came to him that he could be sucked out of the main structure to somewhere safer. It's one thing for Han to be frozen and Vader to be his father, but a suicide attempt in a PG film?!!!!!

Lucas does make shit up as he goes, however, I think Vader answered to Tarkin on the Death Star, because it was Tarkin's ship. The Executor is Vader's ship and he can do as he likes.

I think Leigh Bracket did the Han/Leia romance stuff, as it is in the film. But I'm not sure. I heard some of her contribution remains.

Boba Fett was never produced with the projectile, owing to the law suits against Mattel over the projectiles in their Battlestar Galactica toys. Many former Kenner employees confirmed that the firing Boba Fett never made it past the prototyping, clay mold, phase of production.

Funny thing about "There is another". In 1980 I attended a conference called "Probing The Empire Strikes Back" and the guy running it said, "Vader is Luke's father and Leia is Luke's twin sister. She is the "other" that Yoda is talking about." Of course, 3 years later I found out he was right. But Lucas has said, the only purpose of Yoda's line is to show that Luke is in real peril. If Luke is the ONLY hope of the good guys, then he cannot die before evil is vanquished, but, if there is another possibility, then Luke is expendable, as far as the story is concerned.

Harrison Ford ad libbed a lot of lines in all three movies, teaching Mark and Carrie a lot about acting at the same time. Remember he also told Lucas, "Just 'cause you can write this George, doesn't mean someone can say it."

According to Lucas in a 1978 interview, "Vader and Kenobi were having a light saber duel on the edge of a volcano and Vader accidentally fell in. Kenobi took Vader for dead, but the Emperor arrived to save Vader's life, which is why Vader hates Obi Wan so much and turned to the dark side." (those are not his exact words, btw). This shows how Lucas makes this shit up as he goes. I was pissed to never see Anakin fall into the lava AND in Episode III he has already turned by the time they have that battle.

So, needless to say you guys aren't exactly fans of the prequels lol, but now having seen the force awakens and last jedi... has your opinion changed on them? I admit... rewatching Episode 1... it's really not that bad. The prequels (yes..even episode II) present some really amazing idea's and original concepts... the pod racing, the fight scenes, the planets like Naboo, and Mustafar..And you guys mention Hayden Christiansen's acting...yea...he's not the best honestly..

And I agree with..ehh not sure who said it.. but the Han / Leia relationship as unpopular as this is... the romance is just sort of tossed in I feel. I mean yea it works and it's probably the strongest relationship in the whole series... but it just seems so shallow. And now that we know after seeing The Force Awakens the pretty much split up anyway..

lol, I think you guys give Luke's character a BIG break cause he's what you grew up with...Anakin as a character has a REAL reason for being "whiney"...he was a literally born into slavery, watched his mother die, never had a real father, his friends growing up, seemed pretty dodgy, he feels out of place after being pulled from his home at the age of like 9, he feels inadequate compared to his conteporaries, ... What the hell did Luke have to whine and bitch about?

lol at 1:20:00 you mention, it being a shame not having a Han / Lando movie... 4 years later....

One of those guys totally sounds like George Lucas. Almost if done a impression on purpose. Look for that at the 45:00 and on mark :)
