Party leader game over's have to be the worst mechanic to me. My allies can be downed and its fine. And my allies have healing spells and resurrection items that they can use on one another...so why does it mean game over if the protagonist goes down in combat.

For me, it's also crafting systems.<br><br>Crafting systems are just bullshit busywork. Why does my Big Sword need three lizard tongues, two embers, and a ghost tail to upgrade to Bigger Sword, and for some reason a Bigger Sword needs Eight gunshot shells, six tooth crowns, five gnome boogers, and two pig's feet to upgrade to a Biggest Sword? And of course all the ingredients are never found in the same area. Each one will be in wildly different areas to pad out how long it takes. Fuck that. (Spoiler talk ahead), At least in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, the material to upgrade weapons is a single thing up to a certain level, and you can get it from various locations where certain level enemies are found. None of that having to go to a certain area to find a certain enemy and HOPING it drops what you need. There's also plenty of shops to buy upgrade materials from.
