A lot of Bee keeper don't water their bees, everything living on the planet needs water. So please put water out for your bees so they don't have to go to a swimming pool or a dogs water bowl to get water.

Michael Palmer of French Hill apiaries in Northern Vermont runs many brood factories which are called Nucs. He takes the broad and transfers them to full-size hives that boosting the population and thus making more honey.

Amazing content. Who knew the complexity of bee keeping.

This video is kinda sorta right. There is a method of rotating the boxes at a certain time to maximize available space. The idea is to time the weather in a way so that you are moving empty drawn comb above the brood chamber and lowering the brood chamber to the bottom. This rotation will maximize colony efficiency. This year the day will be 3/30. You’re basically looking for the conclusion of the cold overnight temperatures. You want those nights to not get below mid 40s.

That’s why I start feeding 1:1 as soon as the worst of winter is over and before the flow starts

I just planted Bee clover mix on about 5 acres.. Not enough I know but it's all I have. One harvest a year here. Very dry, very low flowering. That's the way it is.

Hi, hope you are doing well and best regards from southern New Zealand and a beekeeper. This technique hasn't been lost to history, at least not in southern New Zealand, I use this technique,😂 but I should point out my style of beekeeping is not normal, I'm a beeswax producer, not a honey producer or a breeder. I use this step as a precursor for what's called the " demaree method" 😂 it's simply not practical for large modern commercial honey operations to implement this technique, also it comes with a massive risk commercial beekeeper's can't afford to take in production colonies, the colonies can overreach themselves, having too much brood and collapse if weather conditions destroy the ability of the hive to continue growing, this happens often, also the colony can build to swarm size rapidly and result in the loss of the productive queen and half the bees, leaving a lot of brood, no queen and no foragers.
