Thank you I took this out and played it to an old oak nearby my apartment so it could hear a friendly voice. ❤

I wish it was illegal to cut down these sentient beings. So short sighted. 💜💜💜

I live in Nottinghamshire, in England, and we are grieving the death, this year, of The Major Oak, in Sherwood Forest. It is potentially 1200 years old. Despite superb care by the foresters, this is the first year it has grown no new leaves. It will remain as a home to the forest dwellers, but we are terribly sad. It is the emblem of Nottinghamshire. Our identity. 😢

As a child I had an oak tree near my house where I would go to hide myself in her arms when I was afraid or hurt. I'd climb up and there was a place where the branches formed a little nest. It felt like it was made to hold me and my prayers. It was like being embraced by Mother Earth herself. I still, at 63 years, miss my tree. I went back as an adult to see if I could find her. They took her down to build houses. I wept.

I stayed in a town once after a divorce saying, "pine trees are my friends." I hugged them long and often. There are seven 40' white pines outside my home now. I call them the seven sisters. I laid flat stones around their bases. I decorate their trunks with bands of ribbon and homemade ornaments at Christmas. My friends the seven sisters. 🌲🙏🌲

I had the privilege of living in a home with a giant old willow. I would lean against that tree and feel comforted and sleep on a chair beneath her branches. An intuitive asked me in a session on the phone one day about that tree. She said that tree loves you and knows you saved her! I was astounded because I had saved her from being cut down by a landlord who was blind to her magnificence. When I had to move I cried over that tree.

As a teenager, I found myself hugging trees for comfort, never quite understanding why. Years later, I still do. To me, they are beautiful, angelic, and grounding
