The sequel proposal would have been a huge mistake... particularly with the notion that after everything that Forrest Gump achieves... he somehow loses it all? No way!!

My dad would not go watch this movie, and whenever commercials for it would come on TV, he would immediately turn the channel, he said the Vietnam scenes were too realistic to him and they brought back nightmares, so he would not watch it.

This movie had over 12 mistakes throughout it. We once had a filmmaker who was told about a mistake in his film. His response oh well nobody will notice it anyway if the movie is good enough. Instead of dwelling on mistakes which 95% of us easily spotted just enjoy watching it.
