  I always thought the 2 week time skip in the beginning of the 2nd game was the time it took for Ratchet's commando training to complete, and not the literal time it took the ship to travel between the two galaxies.

  The helpdesk is pretty easy to explain. Everything it detects, except the Raritanium, is a gadgetron product. Obviously they have a method of tracking their own equipment, likely via a built in helpdesk interface. As for the Raritanium- knowing it&apos;s not on your planet is easy, it&apos;s not on any planet except a select few. So it&apos;s not that the helpdesk is omnipotent, it&apos;s that Gadgetron is able to track Gadgetron products, and knows Raritanium is Rare.

  Yeah. I can tell ya that I absolutely do NOT believe that the events of Ratchet and Clank 1 happen within the same day. It feels like WAY too much is going on for it to be just a day. I&apos;d say maybe a few days at the minimum (with the duo sleeping on the spaceship in between the planets).

  for plot hole 3: it can be argued that clank does not look &quot;enough&quot; like the others, and thus is seen as a &quot;defect&quot; while the disguise is close enough<br>for plot hole 4: removing a piece of a planet without destroying it would be more expensive than just, blowing it up and not caring about the aftermath. since this IS about money, blowing it up makes more sense, and thus, not redundant

  I think the reason Qwark recruits Ratchet and Clank is because he wants to frame them as he does on Yeedil

  Plot hole 2 is character flaw, not a plot hole. It&apos;s supposed to demonstrate that he is logical and intelligent but not incapable of mistakes or fault. He is naive. That&apos;s literally his main character flaw in the first game. He believes quark can help because he falls for the propaganda of the world they live in, where quark is sold as a hero.<br>Take the real world, plenty of people could tell you the ins and outs of coding or idk volcanology or something. Doesn&apos;t mean they know how to fix a car. Being intelligent does not equate to knowing everything

  I would argue that the Help Desk is merely referencing databases of information rather than actively scanning the the whole planet. It checks all the available shopping centers for a specific item that Ratchet is looking for. &nbsp;it checks previous mineral surveys of planets to see if raritanium deposits have ever been reported on the planet. It isn&apos;t necessarily scanning the entire planet in that moment. It isn&apos;t necessarily saying there is a zero percent chance the planet could have these things, but there is no data indicating that they would be there. And instead it recommends a confirmed location where the thing can be found, also referenced through databases.

  The biggest problem with the first game&apos;s story is that Ratchet and Clank fail to stop Drek from destroying any of the planets, since drek was abke to finish his new planet, and then at the end they blow up the perfectly good new planet meaning all those people deaths achieved nothing. Basically drek won, then they killed him and destroyed the thing he worked on.

  Clank isn&apos;t really defective though, right? if I remember correctly, his &quot;mother&quot; deliberately made him like that. Plot hole #2 can be explained by the factory mother figure whatever just building him like that for some contrived reason.
