  Doom didn&apos;t believe in character because, as you pointed out, every other hero has a breaking point. It wasn&apos;t until he met Peter that he found the one exception to the rule. He doesn&apos;t have to admit he is wrong, because he ISN&apos;T wrong. Spiderman is the one and only hero he can trust, period. No other character is worthy of Doom&apos;s trust.
