  Just imagine, the family took out what they thought was valuable, and what&apos;s left is still worth a fortune. Incredible time machine ! &nbsp;This place is really worth restoration.

  Castles are normally only abandoned due to the upkeep and maintenance. Castles are also very hard to modernize or keep warm... Nonetheless, this place is beyond beautiful

  I am not a religious person, but when you stepped into the chapel, I was awestruck. It was incredibly beautiful. So sad to see these amazing buildings go to ruin. The craftsmanship will never be equaled. Thanks again!

To make it short, the guy was named Claude Maulnori was Lord D&apos;Aubigny and King&apos;s Consellor, he ordered masses to be done for his death, and the death of his father and mother (probably living when he died) and also for his spouse.

  The rugs alone are worth thousands, not to mention all that incredible furniture! OMG! &nbsp;And the stained glass!! &nbsp;Hard to believe no one has pillaged this place by now! &nbsp;SOOO cool!

  According to what I found, Count Philippe de Montrichard was the &nbsp;last member of the clan to own the castle. He reportedly sold it in 2003 to an architect who started a restoration project. He sold it to 2 Indonesian real estate developers in 2017. Allegedly, taxes and other levies owed have gone unpaid and they seemingly abandoned the property.

  Every video with all the old books makes me wish I could start an abandoned books library or museum ! I read old books and hate seeing them being overlooked
